MUISTO
Teos käsittelee elämän hetkellisyyttä. Kauneimpiin kokemuksiimme läheisten kanssa liittyy menettämisen pelkoa. Tuokio muuttuu muistoksi, lapsi kasvaa aikuiseksi, vanhenemme.
Teos pohjautuu kahteen muistikuvaan: Lapsuuden kesien soutumatkat. Eräs elokuu, jolloin kotini ja lasteni koulun lähellä tapahtui vakava liikenneonnettomuus. Aurinko pimeni.
Muistikuvien tavoittelu ja tässä oleva kietoutuvat taiteellisessa työprosessissa toisiinsa.
RECOLLECTION
The topic of the work is the transience of life. A sense of loss is
present at the most valuable moments of our lives. A moment turns into
a memory, a child matures, we all grow old.
The video is based on two recollections. Me as a child rowing a boat
every summer. A terrible car accident that took place near my
children’s school one August, not so long ago.
The act of recalling to mind intertwines with the here and now in the
act of painting.
